Trail Day & Ride
Description:

Dear SSFTA,

I hope you can join us next Saturday 1-28-2012 as Stewards of the Sequoia host our second Trail Appreciation event to reopen the Whiskey Flat trail. We will be brushing and fixing the trail which has become impassable in some sections due to lack of maintenance.

This great trail has been neglected. Stewards of the Sequoia have adopted the trail and we were able to rehabilitate 2 miles of it a few weeks ago. We need your help to continue the project.

Whiskey Flat is a long trail that is anything but flat, but we have worked out a unique way to get to the project area quickly and easily. We will be using rafts to shuttle our crews across the river so we can focus our energy on the trail instead of a long hike in and out.

Please reply to this email to register.

Sierra Gateway Market will provide their great lunches for each volunteer who registers by Thursday.

You can find out more about Stewards Spring Trail Appreciation Days at http://stewardsofthesequoia.org/events-schedule.html

Keyesville Classic Mountain Bike Stage RaceKeyesville Classic Mountain Bike Stage Race

Join the SSFTA as they host the 24th Annual Keyesville Classic Mountain Bike Stage Race!

The Keyesville Classic was created by the SSFTA and belongs to the SSFTA. It is our club's premier fundraising and fun-raising event. The quality of the race depends largly on the commitment of volunteers. As club members, we should all do our part to support the club by volunteering to help with this event. Too often in the past, the work fell to just a handfull of SSFTA members. We can do better this year. Be a part of making this another great  race!

This does not have to be an all or nothing commitment; you can volunteer for the week-end, part of the week-end, etc.

Contact David Miller, Race Director, at david@teamactionsports.com to sign up to be a volunteer. (Or call David at 661-808-7936)

To be held on March 31st and April 1st

..    There will be something for everyone during this fun-filled week-end of mountain bike racing. XC, downhill, novice, sport, pros.
